Apple Cuts MacBook Air Pricing, Increases Student Discount
Now starting at A$1,949
MacBook Air has been updated with the addition of True Tone to the Retina Display. But the biggest change it all to do with price, with a more affordable price tag and bigger savings for University.
Pricing of the two MacBook Air models has been cut by NZ$200. Making the price of the entry-level model with 128GB of SSD storage a recommended retail price (RRP) of NZ$1,949. There is also an option to purchase a model with 256GB of SSD storage for NZ$2,299.
The news gets better for those who are eligible for Apple’s Educational Pricing Offer. Because Apple has cut the price by a further NZ$180 on top of the new prices. Bringing the prices down to just NZ$1,769 and NZ$2,119 respectively. Previously Apple offered NZ$90 off, making the student price twice as good as before.

RRP: NZ$1,949 (was NZ$2,149)
Educational price: NZ$1,769 (was NZ$2,049)
MacBook Air with 256GB storage:
RRP: NZ$2,299 (was NZ$2,499)
Educational price: NZ$2,199 (was NZ$2,409)
